As part of the English Schools Foundation (ESF), our students are supported by the largest English-medium international school organisation in Hong Kong, providing them with resources and opportunities not found outside of ESF Schools.
We prioritise holistic education, following the IB principles, emphasising intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and creative development for a well-rounded learning experience for all learners.
We foster curiosity through captivating and enriching environments, hands-on learning, play-based engagements and interactive teaching, encouraging children to explore their interests and ignite a passion for learning.
We value families as essential partners in our community, involving them in their child's educational journey. Our volunteer program empowers families to actively engage in the vibrant life of our school.
Our dedicated team of passionate educators at ESF Wu Kai Sha International Kindergarten provide tailored guidance, nurturing each child's individual strengths and needs in a safe and supportive learning environment.
At ESF Wu Kai Sha International Kindergarten, we foster a connection with nature through outdoor learning, engaging children in activities like gardening, Forest School, and Beach School for immersive and curious experiences.
Our school follows the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), emphasising playful inquiry-based learning, independent thinking, and personal development. Assessment methods include reports and digital portfolios.
Nestled at the front entrance of our school, the library boasts an enchanting array of children's books and resources. Children have the opportunity to explore this treasure trove regularly with their teachers, fostering a love for reading and learning. We take great joy in sharing this collection with our children and families, promoting a culture of literacy and discovery within our school community.
The ESF Wu Kai Sha International Kindergarten Parent Staff Association (PSA) plays a pivotal role in organising community events and facilitating resource acquisitions, enriching the school experience for students, families, and staff members alike.
In our dedication to fostering strong partnerships with parents and caregivers, we offer a series of workshops throughout the year. These workshops, conducted by our teaching staff and occasionally external experts, aim to deepen family's understanding of our program and address pertinent topics related to early childhood development.
At ESF Wu Kai Sha, we make sure that learning happens in and out of the classroom. Wherever we can, we create opportunities for our students to experience the world around them

I have been so jealous of my daughter, Mia, for what she has been able to experience at WKSK. She enjoyed numerous outdoor activities, theatre trips, sports events, and more throughout her journey. She likes all the teachers and staff, from class teachers to the librarian and assistants. Such a genuine and warm culture cannot be replicated elsewhere. The school has been a safe place where she is eager to go for learning and having fun. These are the reasons why I have joined the PSA community for two consecutive years, to walk the whole Kindergarten journey together with her.

Our daughters not only received a stellar education at ESF Wu Kai Sha International Kindergarten, but they blossomed into curious, confident learners. The engaging curriculum and dedicated teachers sparked a love of learning that will last a lifetime. We couldn't be happier with our experience and are so grateful to the WKSK family.

We look forward to welcoming you to our community!
Our K1 learners have turned into community detectives! Clad in their walking shoes and fueled by curiosity, we headed out in small groups to explore our local community. Our mission? To hunt for the signs and symbols that help guide our everyday lives.
As the seasons change, our K1 children helped prepare the garden soil for what is next. They showed so much curiosity as we turned over the earth, and they were so excited to find worms in the dirt. It was a wonderful way for them to learn about caring for the land and seeing firsthand how we look after the environment and other living things.
Through building and construction activities, the K2 children applied the design thinking process to identify challenges, generate ideas, create solutions, and test and improve their designs.
Our K2 children have been exploring how to measure and compare the length of objects. Today we compared the length of the sticks which we found in the garden.
The K1 children put their ATL skills to the test during our excursion to Forest School Adventures! Through hiking and rock play, they developed Self-Management and risk-assessment skills. They also practised Social Skills and team collaboration during raft building, and demonstrated wonderful Research Skills while inquiring into nature by catching fish and tadpoles.
Happy World Bee Day Today, the children spent time learning about the vital role bees play in our global ecosystem. Understanding the importance of these pollinators is a key part of our commitment to sustainability and learning about the natural world. They enjoyed creating little bees from fir cones and wool which we then hung in the garden.
The K1s have been exploring the incredible community helpers who keep us safe, healthy and happy. From the mail carriers who bridge the gap between home and school to the firefighters who protect our communities, the K1s are learning that everyone has a role to play. Building a community starts right here in the classroom!
Starting our unit "How the World Works", the K2 chidlren had an authentic experience exploring our community for examples of smart design thinking, discovering features such as tactile pavement that supports visually impaired people.
As part of our inquiry into Sharing the planet, our K2 children were particularly interested in taking action to save trees by using less paper, and through recycling paper. The children were curious about the process of recycling paper so we decided to recycle paper by hand. As part of this process, children experimented with different ways to make paper mulch, including tearing paper into small pieces, using pebbles inside small containers, and using a pestle and mortar.
