Educational Visits & Community Events

At ESF Wu Kai Sha International Kindergarten, we believe that learning extends far beyond the four walls of a classroom. That's why we offer a wide range of exciting trips throughout the year, providing our students with unforgettable experiences and valuable opportunities for growth.

Educational visits are important in enhancing our curriculum and engaging the children in authentic learning experiences. These may take place at school, the local community or further afield and typically include:

  • Outdoor learning experiences and trips to local areas, including the beach and Forest School site
  • Theatre visits
  • Kadoorie Farm
  • Hong Kong Forest Adventures
  • Discovery Centre
  • Dance workshop
  • Chinese Opera and Puppet Show

At the beginning of the year, general permission is sought for local visits through the Gateway system. This covers classes or small groups who may walk to areas within our community such as the beach, playground and shopping centre. Parent and adult volunteers may be invited to accompany children on local visits. For trips beyond the vicinity of the school, specific permission will be sought before each trip through Gateway. Information about the trip and the proposed learning will be provided. An adult is normally required to accompany children during these trips.

We are committed to providing our students with a holistic education encompassing academic excellence and experiential learning. Our trips aim to inspire curiosity, broaden horizons, and create memories that will shape their lives.

Throughout the year, we hold various events that allow the school community to come together, allowing us to stay connected, share values, and feel a sense of wellbeing and belonging. From the Christmas, Diwali and Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations to the Chinese New Year Family Day, our calendar is filled with cultural celebrations that allow students to immerse themselves in the rich traditions of our community and make lasting connections with their families.

Our Shared Learning Day is a unique opportunity for families to join their children and engage in collaborative learning experiences throughout the school, fostering a sense of belonging within our school community.

Sports Day encourages children to participate in various age-appropriate games and activities that promote physical fitness and motor skills development. Every moment is filled with laughter and excitement, from relay races and obstacle courses to mini-games.
